What Are They & How Do They Work?

A tooth extraction is the total removal of a tooth, which is usually recommended as a last resort. This could be due to an unsalvageable tooth from decay, overcrowding, unrepairable damage or uncomfortable wisdom tooth.

The process starts with carefully administering a local anaesthetic to make sure the area being treated is totally numb, so you won’t feel any discomfort. Then the extraction itself takes about 15 minutes to complete. Some aftercare may be necessary but our dentists can advice you on the best treatment for you.
